X.org Board of Directors Meeting summary of Wednesday 2009-02-25. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Official log: https://members.x.org/minutes/xorg-board-2009-02-25.txt Location is #xf-bod@irc.oftc.net, timeframe of meeting unknown. Attending board members: Adam Jackson, Eric Anholt, Bart Massey, Keith Packard, Matthieu Herrb. Absent board members: Carl Worth, Egbert Eich, Daniel Stone. First topic is the election status. Eric states that it is "ending march 5th" <2.5 weeks slip from the original schedule>, the delay was caused by the voting system, he and Carl are working on it. Bart brings up the corporate transition, he has talked with Karen , to clarify filling in the tax forms. Bart then states "Then we should be ready for the bank transition." Bart moves on to XDC, states that he needs "to get the room block confirmed." so he can send out the announcement. He then wonders whether something should be done on the wiki, and there the others confirm that this needs to be organised through the wiki, with people registering themselves there too. Then Bart talks about X.Org Endless Vacation of Code: "I really am going to officially announce the X.Org Endless Vacation of Code program in the next couple of weeks unless someone objects." "With Google limiting the number of participants this year, it seems particularly important." "I have a couple of plausible candidates blocked on me" "The only concern I have here is fund-raising; I'd hate to announce the program, and then limit it sharply based on us running low on cash. I guess the new Board needs to make fund-raising a priority." The next topic is trademarks. Bart states "Fourth, someone, perhaps me, needs to finish up registering our trademarks. If someone else wanted to volunteer instead, I could tell them just how to do it. :-)" and then "Ahh, the crickets. OK, I'll do it when I can." and later "it's just filling out some forms and sending money, I think." After this the meeting ended. The only motion presented during this board meeting was a "move to adjourn", which was voted positive by all present directors.
