11:00CodeAgain: What does this message mean? (subject to typos, since the computer where it's happening is very unresponsive)
11:07jbara: test
11:07jbara: finally
11:07jbara: hello,
11:09jbara: gtx 1650ti is not in the codenames page, I assumed it to be nv168 (tu116) since 1650 super is in there as well as 1660ti
11:11jbara: but checking `dmesg | grep -i chipset` outputs nothing (which is weird because the codenames page says that this should be the output that is always correct)
11:12jbara: `lscpi -vvv` is telling me that my gpu is TU117 though
11:13jbara: and i'm facing a lot of problems on it (such as the hdmi not working and a lot of dmesg errors , etc)
11:13jbara: any change i can use TU116 driver instead ? if it's possible , how can i do so ?
11:14jbara: i'm wondering if it'll work any better (since my gpu is somewhere between TU116 and TU117)
11:14jbara: here's my `lspci -vvv` output
11:14jbara: https://0x0.st/oWYi.txt
11:15jbara: and here's `dmesg` if someone knows what the problem is
11:15jbara: https://0x0.st/oWYz.txt
11:15jbara: the output is repeating itself .. in dmesg
11:15jbara: I don't even know if it's actually working partially or not working at all
11:38 #dri-devel: tzimmermann: danvet, i recently sent a patchset for updating drm's damage semantics. i'd like to hear your opinion before i send an update: htt13:48 < karolherbst> doubtful
13:49karolherbst: maybe it's just some weird setting on the display
13:50karolherbst: if it's a normal one I wouldn't expect such thing, but some more TV likes have weird settings and they don't get the auto scaling correct and cut of a little at the border
14:11jbara: might be the case
14:11jbara: i'm plugging this to a TV actually
14:12karolherbst: yeah.. then I bet this is, usually it's set to auto and totally doesn't work with computers
14:12karolherbst: normally they also have a PC or Raw mode
14:26jbara: when i get my hands on a monitor with hdmi input (or an hdmi to vga adapter), i'll test this :p
