00:37pabs3: karolherbst: uh, then how do I enable support for NV50_PROG_DEBUG=3 then?
00:38pabs3: RSpliet: did you want me to test that patch?
01:09karolherbst: ohhhh.. right
01:09karolherbst: ilia fixed all those issues recently
01:09karolherbst: pabs3: testing master might be enough already
01:56pabs3: karolherbst, RSpliet: I confirmed that the linked commit applied to Debian's 19.1.2-1 patch fixes the VLC crash.
02:02pabs3: ah, the commit isn't in any release yet, looks like the next 19.1.x release has a cherry-pick of the commit though
02:02pabs3: guess I'll keep my local build and wait for the release
02:02pabs3: thanks for the pointers
07:22AndrewR: hi all ....
07:32AndrewR: I was looking into Second Life world(s), via this viewer: https://www.firestormviewer.org/ (32-bit Linux version 126.96.36.199680). It works fairly well, but Advanced Lighting makes picture way too bright (on nv92/mesa git). Should I try to file bug against nouveau, or for now I better to live with normal lighting?
07:33AndrewR: http://www.phoenixviewer.com/phoenix-firestorm-lgpl/ - their repo
07:41AndrewR: https://imgur.com/a/AlACvwd - pics ...
07:42AndrewR: (actually, it makes some objects too bright and some just black, it seems ..)
08:56pmoreau: gnarface: Those fixes were ages ago (i.e. they were merged in 3.19), and I have never tried hardware video playback. I should maybe do that some day. I could have a look at G92, maybe, I think I have one.
08:58pmoreau: rhyskidd: I haven’t experienced random lockups during boot on that machine, even with the latest rc. But I do have some extra patches to enable runtime pm on that hardware, so maybe this has an impact.
09:26pmoreau: karolherbst: Dunno if you saw, but 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 are now all merged in the master branch of OpenCL-CTS. Only 1.2 remains as a separate branch, but it is being worked on.
09:38karolherbst: pabs3: you might need more fixes though. There was a bunch of fixes we landed for VAAPI/VA fixes
09:38karolherbst: pmoreau: \o/
09:38karolherbst: pmoreau: btw, I pushed an update for the clover nir stuff
09:39karolherbst: curro: ^^
09:39pmoreau: Ah cool, I’ll check it out!
09:39karolherbst: I didn't include the "let the serialized nir be the default" yet, as I would like to keep that seperate and I didn't find time to really investigate that yet
09:39pmoreau:is at the airport waiting for a connecting flight on the way home and has nothing better to do :-D
09:39karolherbst: but I got rid of that entry_point field
09:44pmoreau: karolherbst: Hum, where did you push it? I don’t see any recent changes on the ML.
09:44karolherbst: huh.. I thought I pushed it there
09:44karolherbst: ohh, seems like I forgot
09:44pmoreau: Last update was two weeks ago.
09:52pabs3: karolherbst: hmm, ok. nothing else needed for vlc it seems. hopefully the next release comes soon :)
14:02rhyskidd: pmoreau: thanks for the pointer to the runpm patches for macbook pro 2009. i think i have them in a link somewhere that karol sent me
16:46karolherbst: uff.. I think I run into more gdb bugs then nouveau multithreading issues now ...
17:13orbea:wonders how many nouveau bugs are hiding behind gdb bugs
17:26karolherbst: not many
18:28orbea: good to know :)
21:35karolherbst: ehh.. multiple nouveau_bufctx objects can have identical values inside .head :/
21:37karolherbst: but it makes no sense at all
