11:08HdkR: karolherbst: Woo OpenCL! :D
11:09HdkR: pmoreau: Also woo to you since I see your commits in there :)
13:29pmoreau: HdkR:Wait, what did I just miss? :o
13:36karolherbst: nothing :p
13:36pmoreau: HdkR: Oh, you’re reacting to the series Karol posted on the ML? :-)
13:37pmoreau: karolherbst: I’ll take a stab at curro’s comments later today.
13:37karolherbst: pmoreau: I've already taken care of most stuff
13:37karolherbst: pmoreau: I didn't do anything about his comments on "[PATCH 07/15] " though
13:38karolherbst: pmoreau: I pushed the branch to my repository if you feel like doing something
13:41pmoreau: Is it the same version as on the MR?
13:44pmoreau: Okay, so I should create an extra branch on my repo if I want to update the branch.
13:50karolherbst: no, you can just push to the MR p
15:34karolherbst: Lyude: hi Lyude
16:44samtux: hi, can anybody here tell me which nvidia GPU I can use in a GIGABYTE GA-G41M-ES2L mainboard with libreboot? Now I'm using the onboard Intel GPU. I tested an ATI/AMD GPU which is supported by the radeon module, but with libreboot it doesn't work (the system doesn't recognize the new graphics adapter) and with stock BIOS it does
16:49samtux: I'm using blender for video editing and the up coming version 2.80 requires opengl 3.3 support, but my onboard GPU has only opengl 2.1 support, so I'd like to get a newer GPU
16:50karolherbst: samtux: there are some newer intel GPUs which works without any blobs, but I don't know what's the newest one here. The newest nvidia gpus without needed non free firmwares are kepler and maxwell1 (GM107 and GM108)
16:50karolherbst: but you probably want a gk110 GPU
16:50karolherbst: like the 780 Ti
16:51karolherbst: we support reclocking on those, so you can even get decent performance, allthough there can always be random bits messing up and your system stability might be not all that great
16:57samtux: karolherbst: thanks. would gtx 770 also do? those are cheaper
16:58karolherbst: yeah, gk104 is fine as well
16:58karolherbst: but you could run into random issues, just saying
16:59karolherbst: but that's just the situation with nouveau right now. We usually don't suggest people to buy new GPUs and use nouveau with it as intel and AMD are better choices for overall stability and performance, but we try our best to fix bugs and so on
16:59karolherbst: and on a deblobed kernel you don't really have a choice besides nouveua anyway
17:01karolherbst: anyway, gtg
19:18pmoreau: karolherbst: The latest version of the MR is the one on your own branch, not the MR itself, correct? (So I can just go ahead and force push your branch onto the MR, right?)
19:19pmoreau: I would like to avoid accidentally overwriting some of your changes.
21:11HdkR: pmoreau: Yep yep, the ML series for the Clover CL stuff :)
22:34karolherbst: pmoreau: yes
