07:58 Mikaku: Hi, I have a Fedora 29 (Cinnamon Spin) on an old PC with an Nvidia GT216 [GeForce 210], and after one system update I did some weeks ago the system no longer shows any graphics at all, it's not capable to switch to the graphic mode to show the 'lightdm' login
08:00 Mikaku: the system completes it's start up, but the only can see is a black screen with a green block near the upper left corner, and seeing the size of that block it means to me that it's in VGA text mode (80x25)
08:00 Mikaku: the last two lines of 'dmesg' are:
08:00 Mikaku: [ 77.923647] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: DRM: core notifier timeout
08:00 Mikaku: [ 79.923837] nouveau 0000:02:00.0: DRM: base-0: timeout
08:02 Mikaku: this is the output of 'dmesg | grep nouveau': <https://paste.centos.org/view/9e9213a3>
08:03 Mikaku: I keep updating the Fedora every day with the hope that the bug is fixed, but there is no way :(
08:03 Mikaku: any idea of what could have happened?
08:08 Mikaku: more information: I can ssh remotely to that PC so I can see it's stable and 'ps -edaf' shows that Xorg and lightdm are running
08:09 Mikaku: it looks like the system is unaware that it's not in graphics mode
