14:55agd5f: runpm is basically akin to cutting the power to the board
14:57agd5f: the exception is some laptops with a dGPU may have a mux on the hotplug pins and when the dGPU is powered down the mux switches the pins to the EC on the system which then generates an ACPI event
14:57agd5f: but for standalone dGPUs there is no such connection
