09:14 karolherbst: ...
09:35 RSpliet: karolherbst: thanks, I nearly ran out of dots! ... were you trying to say sth? :-D
09:37 karolherbst: nothing
12:43 RSpliet: Lyude: I think I'm still seeing cursor woes on GK107 - at least since I got a 4K monitor. Every now and then I see an artefact in like the bottom-right corner about 100 pixels away from the cursor, and it moves along. If the cursor changes, it disappears or reappears at random. Sometimes a cursor change leads to a long hang, sometimes a full lock-up of graphics (or even the whole system)
12:46 karolherbst: :/
12:46 karolherbst: RSpliet: sure it's setting the proper mode?
12:46 RSpliet: karolherbst: Yep
12:46 karolherbst: I saw problems on 4k screens until I fixed the bpc stuff
12:46 RSpliet: I mean, it's 4K@30Hz
12:46 karolherbst: ahh...
12:46 RSpliet: Need more details? Tell me what to fetch
12:46 karolherbst: DP 1.2?
12:46 RSpliet: HDMI
12:46 karolherbst: :/
12:47 karolherbst: no DP?
12:47 RSpliet: This card doesn't have DP
12:47 karolherbst: :(
12:47 karolherbst: sad
12:48 RSpliet: Tell me about it. A future replacement will be AMD though, so make full use of my informal bug reporting while at it :-P
12:48 karolherbst: :D
12:48 karolherbst: you can always give the GPU to me later :P
12:48 karolherbst: but I think I have plenty of nvidia GPUs with HDMI :
12:48 karolherbst: P
12:49 RSpliet: I mean, unless NVIDIA comes with a rare nugget of positive OSS news before AMD has low-end RX6xxx available mass-market
12:50 RSpliet: I can put up with a lot of driver carp, but I ain't buying an RTX3xxx with this unfathomable firmware situation and thus no perspective of improvement
12:54 karolherbst: I would say anything if I would be allowed to...
12:54 RSpliet: Actions speak louder than words anyway :-D
12:54 karolherbst: :D
12:54 karolherbst: true
12:55 RSpliet: Anyway, I erm... yeah, not sure what to do with the cursor situation. I'll do and report a bug on... gitlab? kernel bugzilla?
12:55 RSpliet: *go
12:56 karolherbst: gitlab
15:31 Lyude: RSpliet: probably going to send asap to turn off larger cursors on kepler then, sigh
18:17 RSpliet: Lyude: yeah I do wonder what's going on though. My machine was more stable when I was using a 1280x1024 monitor
18:17 RSpliet: Could there be more fundamental issues with like large pages or sth?
18:18 Lyude: RSpliet: probably
