07:15 tjaalton: emersion: hey, https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/libdrm/-/merge_requests/273 seems ready to be merged?
07:52 emersion: tjaalton: sorry, i don't review AMD-specific patches
08:00 tjaalton: okay
08:01 tjaalton: agd5f: ^ for you then? :)
13:01 agd5f: tjaalton, looks good. Just one comment from daniels to address
13:02 tjaalton: ah, nice.. I'll poke sergio
13:16 arnd: tzimmermann: after staring too long as the last remaining fb_notify user and concluded it never worked, so I just sent the patch to remove it
13:17 tzimmermann: arnd :)
13:17 tzimmermann: i'd be happy to remove it
13:18 tzimmermann: that was a hack anyway.
13:19 arnd: I left the board file marked as 'depends on BROKEN' for now, as I already had an older series to remove that, and need to rebase that series.
13:22 arnd: tzimmermann: it looks like I forgot to remove the Kconfig references for CONFIG_FB_NOTIFY, so I need to respin that, or you remove them while applying, but I'll wait for other comments before I send it again
15:55 robclark: sima, daniels, (anyone else?): Can I interest you in some fourcc's? https://lore.kernel.org/all/20250620144310.82590-1-robin.clark@oss.qualcomm.com/
16:15 sima: robclark, a-b: me I guess
16:16 robclark: don't sound so excited :-P
16:16 robclark: thx
16:16 sima: robclark, actually need to retract that, patch 2 still has [15:0], needs a [31:0] and then a-b: me
16:17 sima: in the leading comment
16:17 robclark: oh, right
16:17 sima: robclark, it's 36°C here, there's not much brain capacity for enthusiasm rn :-P
16:18 robclark: heh, fair
16:18 robclark: thx, will resend in a bit
16:59 alyssa: jnoorman: mind reviewing at least the common code changes in https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/35720 ? thanks :)
17:00 alyssa: glehmann: also some nir opt sink/move changes there but I don't /think/ it will impact other backends, though I haven't audited (it could)
17:12 daniels: robclark: Ab me, and hey, only took 19 years to learn what your actual given name is!
17:14 robclark: thx
17:31 mattst88: hah, I didn't know that either!
17:33 robclark: Rob is just short, it saves having to constantly correct dumb american misconceptions about name vs gender ;-)
17:50 idr: Now my brain is trying to picture robclark as Mork from Ork.
17:51 robclark: heheh
17:52 dwfreed: robclark: which is ironic, because the most well-known Robin in American culture is male
17:54 jenatali: One of my childhood friends is Robinson. Went by Robin as a kid but now goes by Rob. I assume for similar reasons
17:54 robclark: yeah.. I wonder if he also got junk mail addressed to Ms. Robin Williams
18:31 jnoorman: alyssa: sure thing, will take a look tomorrow!
18:33 alyssa: thanks!
21:07 kisak: Throwing this out as a general thing. We have EOL'd mesa 25.0, but I have it as the last build of mesa for Ubuntu Focal and Jammy in the kisak-mesa stable PPA. If it's useful to cherry pick anything into that 25.0.7 build, please give me a nudge and we can look at cherry picking. Otherwise I'll assume that near 25.0.7 is what's wanted by the general dev group and not turn it into Frankenstein's mesa
21:07 kisak: build.
21:08 karolherbst: (almost) all fixes that go into 25.1
21:09 karolherbst: though I think you could potentially use the same scripts the mesa release managers are using?
21:09 karolherbst: it auto picks a bunch of commits
21:09 karolherbst: and you could just run the same thing against 25.0
21:11 kisak: the issue with that is that mesa 25.0 is progressively less a consideration for CC: mesa-stable tagging and I have limited capacity to catch gremlins. That's literally the Frankenstein's mesa build I mentioned.
