Description
The PalmTracking feature guards the Smart-Pad™ against inadvertent operation
from accidental contact. PalmTracking allows
Smart-Pad™ to
detect palm resting on the pad or brushing on its surface while typing. It
treats such contact as accidental touch and is ignored. The feature helps in
preventing unsolicited pointer movement or click operation.
If the Smart-Pad™ exhibits unwanted pointer movement
or click operation, decrease the PalmTracking
sensitivity setting by moving the slider to the right (toward Maximum) but not
to the extent of losing sensitivity on legitimate touches. If the
Smart-Pad™
becomes unresponsive to valid touches, increase the PalmTracking
sensitivity setting by moving the slider to the left (toward Minimum). You are
likely to miss responses to valid motions if the slider is in the red zone.
Adjusting PalmTracking
The PalmTracking slider adjusts and helps in making Smart-Pad™ more ergonomically friendly
when working with PalmTracking
function.
