X.org Board of Directors Meeting summary of Tuesday 2009-07-21. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Official log: https://members.x.org/minutes/xorg-board-2009-07-21.txt Location is #xf-bod@irc.oftc.net, timeframe of meeting unknown. Attending board members: Eric Anholt, Bart Massey, Carl Worth, Daniel Stone, Donnie Berkholz, Matthieu Herrb. Absent board members: Adam Jackson, Alan Coopersmith. Attending non-board members: Keith Packard. Bart starts off with explaining the banking situation; he and Keith "went down to open a bank account at US Bank a week ago", but they failed. Turns out that they need a letter from Karen, the SFLC lawyer for X.org, to be able to open an account. Then it dawns on them that neither has tried to contact Karen so far, and Bart says that he will mail her after the meeting. Bart concludes the banking situation with "Anyway, we're working on it..." Bart then talks about freedesktop.org administration, but nobody has anything to add to this topic. Bart asks for the status of XDC, and Donnie replies that there are "20 people signed up now" but that the "program is pretty epmty". Many of the board members offer talks, and Keith even adds that he has "a list of talks from plumbers that aren't being accepted", which can then be held at XDC. Bart is worried about the reserved rooms that are still unused, for which Keith proposes to send "A suitable note indicating that conf hotel bookings are about to time-out". Bart then mentions that the accepted candidate for Endless Vacation of Code has "a day job for the Summer", and that they've "agreed to defer until Fall". He adds that all "students passed the SoC midterms". Bart then concludes the full meeting and moves on to the election committee only, which leaves just him and Daniel. Bart says that they "need an elections chair, and to get the software working", and volunteers to be the chair. Daniel will talk to Eric to see what needs to be done about the software, and then the meeting is disbanded. No motions were presented in this meeting, no voting took place.
