18:16Frogging101: Will ROCm work on RX 6900 XT? My attempts at this seem to be telling me "no"
19:29bnieuwenhuizen: Frogging101: I think it should, as rocm 5 should have official navi21 support
19:30Frogging101: I saw that, but I didn't see any consumer GPUs on the List
19:32Frogging101: And when I tried it anyway, it didn't work. So I wondered if it's even supposed to work
19:32Frogging101: If it is, maybe I'll try again :)
19:34bnieuwenhuizen: I think it should work there is no real diff in the HW there
19:34bnieuwenhuizen: I've heard about them being finicky about supporting navi22/23/24/12/14 but even those could run with a minor env-var override AFAIU
19:34Frogging101: hmm ok
19:35bnieuwenhuizen: but might be worth asking on #rocm, you might (or might not) get more of a response there
20:04Venemo: Frogging101: I haven't heard of anyone being able to use rocm for anything, so I look forward to your success story with it
20:05Frogging101: lol, yeah
20:26Deluxef: I was able to run stable diffusion (https://github.com/fboulnois/stable-diffusion-docker) on 6900 XT with upstream kernel (6.1.X)
20:38Venemo: nice
20:41Frogging101: With ROCM?
20:42Frogging101: I'm trying to run folding@home, myself
20:42Frogging101: I want to update the guide I made on the forums for it
20:44Deluxef: Sorry, wrong link this (https://github.com/l1na-forever/stable-diffusion-rocm-docker) is what I meant
